Workshops

On-site Workshops October 21st, 2009

The times for our concurrent workshops are 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.

Workshop 1:  Graduate School Admissions 101

Applying to graduate school?  Regardless of discipline, virtually all graduate school applications entail the same basic components: transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendations, and personal statements.  Don't miss this overview of the essential application process and the required components because incomplete applications translate into automatic rejections!

Workshop 2:  Funding Your Graduate Degree

A graduate degree is an investment in your future, and how to fund your degree is always a challenging question!  Attend this session to learn more about the funding opportunities available at Ohio State, as well as outside funding possibilities.

Workshop 3:  Research Experience: Your Ticket to Graduate School

Applicants to graduate school encounter fierce competition for admission and funding in today's competitive market. How can you increase your odds of acceptance, and better yet, funding?   Attend this workshop to better understand how to get research experience. Learn about the exciting opportunities to do research rather than just read about it -- and get important experience that will make you stand out in the graduate admissions process!
